The Cale tbm Crete – Tunnel Mularroya
On march 1, Actyon had the honor of witnessing the cale of the Tunnel boring machine Creta, marking the end of more than three years of hard work since the start of the excavation in November 2020.
The tunnel boring machine Crete has completed the tunnel of 12.6 miles, a feat that will contribute to the filling of the reservoir Mularroya, connecting the river Jalón with the Bank of the Grío. This project stands out as one of the hydraulic works most notable carried out in Spain to date, with a capacity of transfer of up to 8 cubic metres of water per second.
With Creta cale now begins the final stage of the work on this project, which began almost four years ago with the assembly of the TBM. We sincerely appreciate the trust you have placed in us during these years by the joint venture of Mularroya, composed by ACCIONA and SACYR.
